Studies in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology are designed to offer students a comprehensive and thorough basis for investigating and analyzing the complexities of social life and social phenomena. This goal is pursued with regard to comprehending the problems and characteristics of contemporary societies in general, and those of Israeli society in particular. Studying in the department offers the opportunity to deepen the understanding of societies and social behavior, and to open up new ways of thinking about how identities, cultures, and social organizations are shaped, experienced, and transformed.
