Graduate Program in Organizational Sociology
Director: Prof. Danny Kaplan
The Graduate Program in Organizational Sociology introduces students to sociological perspectives on organizations and work, and offers them advanced tools for understanding and researching contemporary, global organizational complexities. The program emphasizes research, and develops students' analytical skills in investigating the sociological complexities of organizational lives and work realities. The program is also practically orientated, offering professional tools relating to issues such as organizational diagnosis and change, and organizational development. Overall, the curriculum provides an in-depth understanding of the social, cultural, and structural complexities of different types of organizations, and with how organizations function in today's complex institutional, social, economic, and political environments.
The program is a research track program (with thesis).
